Faith and Science: the podcast from Sunday, July 7th.

Back on June 26, I posted that on Sunday, July 7th I’d be delivering the morning message at my home church, speaking on faith and science. Several of you were kind enough to say you’d show up… and you did! Thanks for coming. It was great to see your smiling faces in the sanctuary. Others of you said that you’d like the link to the podcast. You can find it here. If you have a listen, please let me know what you think, and offer your own perspectives.

For much of the past several weeks I’ve been preoccupied with three tasks: (1) the 2013 Colloquium and its closeout, (2) finishing early drafts of a book slated for publication late this year, and (3) preparing for the church sermon. Unintentionally, the blog has taken a bit of a back seat.

Thanks to strong NSF support, a stellar collection of speakers, truly gifted participants, and a lot of help from AMS staff, the Colloquium was a success, despite difficulties we faced attracting federal-agency participants because of the sequester and associated cutbacks in funds for travel and training.  I’m in the process of turning over the book manuscript to the publishers and the tender mercies of copy editors; more about this project as we go into the fall. And the sermon itself has come and gone.

Blogging beckons.
